Hello I spent the night in the ER, apparently my little attempt to walk home wasn't welcome for my body, but now I'm back home and it's fine! I'm quite sick, not sure what it is yet but it snuck up on me, I feel very weak currently but at least I'm home, my shutter works again and I'm no longer in eternal darkness

My chronic lack of money let to a chronic undernourishment and dehydration, I didn't notice it before but when I went on that bike tour yesterday it took a much bigger toll than I anticipated, as I was feeling fine. The walk home then brought the rest of me down, so when I could get an Uber, thanks to a generous donation from a friend, the Uber driver was like, nah man you look like death, let's carry you to ER for free and I was like, well, I feel like so okay Props to the Uber driver and the yobbers who helped me through this!

I'm heated right now. One group project member is a manipulative person and I finally called him out for it today. We were supposed to film over the weekend, each of us had a scene to film on our own. Sunday night as I was going to bed he messaged saying he didn't get to film because of stuff that came up. Since we were slated to meet on Monday to work together as a group to edit the project (and the project is due Tuesday -- today -- at noon) he said we could just push our meeting to this morning at 930, two hours before class. This morning I get to the school at 930 and he was there but had just sent a text saying he had to leave for an appointment. I confronted him about that and he said I seemed upset. I explained that he had already not filmed over the weekend and pushed off our editing by a day, but that now he's going to leave for a meeting leaving me and the other group member to do the work ourselves. He said he has confidence in us because "you're a great editor, I know you can do it! You're a rockstar!" He then said, that it was a tough decision for him to pivot away from helping us, but that he's taking four classes and this one isn't that important. I told him I'm taking five classes and got my work done. He then said that this class isn't a part of his major so it doesn't really affect him as much. I said "well this class IS a part of my major and it's affecting me and the other group member." His response was telling. He said, "well I'll be honest, it really wasn't a hard decision for me to make, because it's not in my major." He was smiling while he said that. Then he said, "but I really empathize with you and [the other member]. I was pissed now. 😡 I said, obviously you don't empathize or you wouldn't be doing this. He then tried to make himself the victim and said he'd just blow off his other appointment, did a big show of "c'mon let's do this, we can work on this now." I wasn't having any of it. I told my other group member that I'm not about to proceed without bringing the professor in now since this guy has shown us that he doesn't give a care about the project or us. She said she was going to call the professor. I told her I'd ask for extra time for us to work on it since we've lost at least a day due to this guy. I walked away and sent an email to the professor contemporaneously documenting the conversation. Manipulators really get under my skin. I'm happy I approached my professor last week about my concerns that he may be bullshitting us and trying to manipulate. His true colors were seen today.
