Once upon a time that was just about poo poo he chatted on a forum, or about where Twinkle Star Sprites ranks as a Neo Geo shmup. Once he ludicrously became a national political figure this became a real problem. Like probably most of us, he had not terribly progressive opinions about transgender people in the 90s and 2000s. But while we're able to learn and grow, he just fundamentally isn't. He can only double, and triple, and quadruple, etc, etc, down.

The mad thing is, he was a published journalist in the early 90's. So you can read his writings about Amiga games and get an insight into his mind.

Kate Forbes: Defeated SNP leadership candidate leaves government

Kate Forbes is to leave the Scottish government after finishing second in the SNP leadership race.

The BBC understands she was offered a move to rural affairs by the new first minister, Humza Yousaf, but turned down the job.

It's in the article - it was Joan McAlpine and Alex Neil. So "senior" as in "citizen". The National are just stirring poo poo because they're SNP second and Salmond supporters first.

Starmer is such a coward it's hard to support any of his actions, but yeah I guess strategically purging out all dissent and sources of potential opposition is a good idea. Corbyn should've tried that instead of continually vacillating and appeasing the melts, the big idiot.

Does the leader of a political party with a huge membership in the hundreds of thousands that fully support them not have some power to say... deselect lovely MPs, stack the NEC, do anything other than try and persuade a small selection of people who actively hate their guts and are continually plotting to overthrow them at every possible opportunity?

Like I have no idea what the internal democracy of Labour is like but surely having captured the leadership they could've made some structural changes?

I think it's worth remembering that Labour is the least internal democratic major political party in the country. It should absolutely be treated as a killing jar for left-wing politics.

This is especially funny because she made a big song & dance about standing up for the forgotten about rural parts of Scotland rather than all the focus being on the central belt (weird, the focus is on the part of the country with people in it? Whodda guessed it?) & there were all these gushing articles about how fantastic it would be having someone from Dingwall leading the Scottish government (didn't notice much of that when Ian Blackford lead the SNP at Westminster from a constituency office in Dingwall, while also being a Wee Free who somehow avoided ranting & raving about the gays & abortion)

Andrew Rosindell hasn't been in Parliament for nearly a year. He's refused to do constituency surgeries too... (according to lots of tweets)... but on full pay of course.

quote:

He was first detained on suspicion of indecent assault, abuse of a position of trust and misconduct in public office in May last year.

The MP was told by the whip at the time to stay away from Parliament but has not suspended the whip, meaning the suspect remains a member of the parliamentary party

Yup, Rosindell hasn't been in Parliament since the 24th May last year. It's him.
