The eyes are a different material, a bit more glossy so you see a shininess in them. Gives them a bit more liveliness.

drat, I remember seeing all those SF figures for sale at TRU years ago and kind regret not picking up some of the staples. I was debating snagging some of the TMNT/SF 2-packs that Target was carrying but refuse to spend $40 or whatever it was for only one figure. Those X-Men/SF 2-packs when I was a kid ruled, most of the figures were huge upgrades from the prior ToyBiz builds and seeing them in a VIDEO GAME STORE rocked.

They do KS for games sometimes (the Ghostbusters and Epic Spell Wars: ANNIHILAGEDDON games), but they also sell statues of Batman’s hand and chibi Harley Quinn so no idea why Peacemaker is the one to hedge on a crowdfund.

I ended up buying a classic Spider-Woman on eBay when I found an OK deal. Even though there may be a new one coming out, it’s part of a two pack and won’t be cheap, and it looks like they are reusing the same molds. If it turns out to secretly be a huge upgrade, well, maybe I’ll get two of her. I also picked up another wish list Marvel guy which is the Walgreens Silver Surfer figure. I really hope they redo that guy with pinless joints someday because that guy looks best when he’s really smooth and featureless, but the store exclusive was pretty recent and they reissued him as a pack in with Galactus too so it will probably be years before that happens, probably not until there’s an MCU version. And Silver Surfer fuckin rules and I want one.

Xeno, definitely agree with the odd arm articulation though what’s missing is a bicep cut; without it, you can’t do the iconic “arm on the canon” pose. This is Helena, and she does not have time for your poo poo.  Consider yourselves warned. My only gripe is that she doesn’t come with a crossbow but ah well. Other than that, she’s pretty nifty. Nightwing’s next month, I think, once he arrives I’ll get the Hush crew together for a nice group shot.

The recent reissue of the Amazing Yamaguchi Batman had the grapnel gun of the first release removed, so anything gun-like is probably off the table regardless of being an actual gun or not.

I saw the gelatinous cube toy at a GameStop and considered it. Despite just being… a cube, it looks really cool, what with being able to stick weapons and other figs in it. I know it doesn’t glow in the dark but I wonder if it’s translucent blue coloring does “light up” under black light  it would be really neat to have a big rear end CUBE in my GITD collection. I could even stick Bob from Reboot in there and treat is as a game cube! WARNING INCOMING GAME.
