I'm waiting for the articles saying why we shouldn't be afraid of living 10 families to a room and why slumlords are the unsung heroes of the working class by giving them a rusty tin roof to shelter under from the acid rain. High density slums full of disease are quite good actually, furthermore

Feeling impoverished? Here are ten reasons why having almost no possessions, just one jacket and one spare pair of pants to your name really prepares you for the future hyper mobile neo gig economy. In previous generations "Alek" (real name changed) would have been starving and desperate living under this bridge but with today's technology and opportunities he's now more empowered than ever to deliver Amazon parcels he'll never be able to afford. And why that's a good thing (etc etc)

Make them coffin-like eco habi units that you rent from a faceless "caring" corporation for a mere 500 neo credits a week (automatically deducted from your central fedgov approved crypto wallet) and now we're talking. Also we'll stack them about a hundred high in giant concrete blocks covered in corporate approved generic art & logos.

Mr Hootington posted:I feel it has become too "general chat" compared to the more "economics chat" it used to be. It's always transformed into general chat whenever there's no major news. That's also always been the shittiest part of the thread, so I wouldn't really mind if you started shutting down tedious rehashes like Obesity Argument Round 12. But it's not super necessary either. When stuff happens the thread talks about it.

This sucks (not your video, its cool). I can't find a YouTube video of Lexx season 1, episode 1. I wanted to show the terrible drone accomodation Stanley Tweedle (security guard, 3rd class) wakes up in as we get introduced to his character.

Although they have no real authority, they travel through hostile and chaotic universes, having a variety of adventures. It appears your 2004 theory has merit

One of the running gags in Lexx season 2 was they would turn up to [some place], get rudely rebuffed because they were essentially penniless space hobos, then they would fire the big planet destroying weapon on their stolen spaceship (the Lexx) to blow up some background asteroid or planet and suddenly get VIP treatment. Frequently (almost all the time) it would go very wrong. If you watch it expecting the absolute worst from almost every character you'll be okay. No heroes on this ship!

C-SPAM > Political Economy of Food, Behavioral Health, and the Obesity Industrial Complex
