I made a cake today! Made an almond yellow cake with a blueberry filling (cooked and strained the bloobs) and a lemon butter frosting (think buttercream, but no vanilla or cream and just substitute lemon juice and zest for the cream). poo poo is phenomenal!

Not saying this to specifically call you out, but there's definitely a phenomenon online, especially in leftist spaces, where once someone ends up in the crosshairs of the community for (maybe) justifiable reasons, tons of people will come out of the woodwork to add a bunch of grievances that are either totally blown out of proportion or entirely fabricated. And then lastly you'll get a bunch more people piling on going, "oh, I only ever met them once or twice but I knew in my gut that they were bad news. Glad to know I was right." Suddenly a small bit of friction turns into an outright crusade and it never actually helps make anything better

A month or so ago, the store next to the one where I work, changed owners. Some time after, I came to the front to help someone, and a dog was in the store. It came sniffing behind the counter, and as I was talking to the customer I even thought "huh, a little rude that they're not keeping their dog close", only then the dog just walked out of the store of its own accord, and I realized it wasn't their dog, it was our new neighbor's. He keeps it in the store with him all day, and whenever dog gets a little bored, they just saunter out into the street (no cars, no bikes), see if anyone's up for some pets, and walks into whatever open doors it comes across. This is the friendliest dog I have ever seen. Anyone who comes near gets an expectant look and big tail wagging. Whenever there's some downtime in the store and I see this dog, it kinda makes my day.  I've been trying to get a good picture, but it's hard because they're so wiggly whenever you get near. It may look as if they're tucking their tail between their legs here, but they're just doing that thing where they wag their tail so hard, the whole hind quarters swing back and forth.
