Last weekend: IMSA and IndyCar at Long Beach (plus plenty of other support series), apparently both races were good; WEC 6 Hours of Portimao was alright with an excellent final hour; MotoGP at COTA was good as well; Goodwood Member's Meeting had a lot of very expensive cars going around and sometimes getting thrown off the track.

as far as I can tell WRC Croatia is still going to run this week/weekend and as far as upcoming races there's also BTCC Donnington Park National Circuit and NASCAR at Talledega this Sunday

i like the goodwood stuff, usually pops up on my youtube recs but must have missed it. i do like NASCAR when it's at a super speedway so i might buy a big bag of weed and stay up late for that one live.

I had the frikandel at Spa and as a snack experience it's the exact opposite of how it looks. This is a pro-frikandel post.

I don’t know if it’s the break or that we’re in for another year of Red Bull domination while the sport becomes increasingly commercialised by American owners but I’m just not that arsed about the gap to the next race. I’m really only watching now for Alonso who has selflessly decided to try and rescue the sport, and hoping that Baku will welcome all of us.

Honestly, same. I think it's the month break between races that's doing it for me. There's not enough stuff going on to generate hype and I'm just forgetting F1 exists at this point.

A pretty damning condemnation of the WEC car is when Ryo Hirakawa, a Super Formula and Super GT driver, essentially said the Silhouette Super GT cars were nearly as fast as the Hypercar Hybrid prototypes. I think they would likely be able to run down LMDh cars.
