I mean that's true, the multi man tags are usually meant to lead to something but the thing they're meant to lead to is usually just a match that was created because guys in New Japan have matches with each other and the in kayfabe matchmakers, the International Wrestling Grand Prix, made a match.

Man, I miss the TNA die hards. At least their desperation was for there to be a 2nd big promotion or a 2nd Monday Night Wars type era. Plus those song parodies were something else. All these Anti-AEW guys basically parrot Cornette or whoever and are busy defending a multi billion dollar corporation which has spent 20 years trying to strangle any life and joy out of wrestling.
