Good call, forgot about that one. Can see that leading to a tag title match for one or both, but none of the other champions have anything just yet. But then again there’s really no show to build to yet. Maybe not even until July for DBD.

I think ROH sharing a lot of talent with AEW (largely very good wrestlers) but at the same time having some ROH exclusive talent you won't see on AEW programming (Athena, Shibata) is the best of both worlds.

The elevation matches are going to happen regardless. It's a good way to warm up the crowd, get reps for your signed talent, and scout locals. If you're doing the matches anyway, may as well try to get those ad sense dollars. Edit: I guess if the point was that ROH should take the place of elevation (which seems to be happening) I'm okay with that as long as they book good matches.
