By how things went in Toronto roughly 3 years, since that's the time between Gasol and Poetl.

Based on what he was saying and what some of the players were expressing during their last media appearances this is not really surprising. Don't see what all the fuss is with Udoka, it's not like he got something out the Celtics that others haven't. I'm sure he's fine but there are probably lots of other people out there too.

Nurse becoming available is one of the very few things I could see leading to a Finch firing.

(Finch would then almost certainly end up back in Houston)

I doubt Nurse would want to go to MN. It's a janky roster with a 2nd round ceiling*. Houston has a lot lower expectations and a lot more room to grow. Dallas would be the "ready made" option if they actually fire Kidd and given they just missed the play-in entirely you'd have a couple of seasons grace.

Booker and Durant are both playing waaaaaay too many minutes. It’s understandable to want them out there together as much as possible but it’s (hopefully) a long postseason and they both have injury history this season and prior. Same for cp3.
it's the playoffs and it was 1-1 and they only won by 5. I support running your starters into the ground in the playoffs. Heck even if it was 2-0, it puts a quicker end to the series and gets you rest

a couple of those in the video were actually directly from fouls or selling an actual foul. A couple of them I don't think were trying to draw calls either and were just actual falls. A few of them were flops

Would have been happy to see him coach the Raptors a few more seasons but if there was a disconnect between management, him, and the roster, then perhaps a split now can work out best for all involved.

Hope Nurse does great in his next stint, and looking forward to him getting a standing O his first game back in TO.

Also don't hire Udoka, c'mon man.

He did a good job with Celtics, but so has Mazzulla. I definitely think the Celtics took a really big step last season so at worst Udoka didn't get in the way, and at best he unlocked a bunch of stuff for that team. It's probably somewhere in the middle of that, which is better than most HC candidates can say.

Yeah, biyombo actually makes an effort and Ayton is soft as dudewipes. Only makes an effort when he feels like it and as soon as something goes wrong (like a turnover or embarrassing rebound given up, etc) he spirals.

Bizzy has obvious limitations but Ayton is so bitchmade. It’s embarrassing. The good aspects of his game have vanished, the dude was incredible in our finals run and he’s like a totally different player out there. On the bright side if the suns bomb out in the playoffs he’s probably gone.

Feels weird given that the consensus still seems to be that he's a really great coach, but also it seemed kinda indicated by the way the team underperformed all season with the bad vibes everywhere.

It was just so weird watching the Raptors this year. Obstinate strategy is the only way I can describe it. Every time they'd get in a hole against the Knicks he'd just send out the same lineup and do the same small ball. Felt bad for the bench players.

I didn't get to watch the game, and that's a pretty bad call, but... that CP3 floater that starts the clip. Woof. 5/18, did it look like that all game?

edit: it's not even really the shot itself, it's that the defense almost runs away from him to give it to him

they were running an ultra-small lineup that allowed every shot and scored every time down.
