If you can find orange blossom water (I get mine from a middle-eastern grocery store) there's a great mocktail called Cease and Desist -- presumably originally called Creamsicle Soda or something -- which hits the spot, though I've never tried it with vanilla. The recipe as-is definitely tasted like a Creamsicle to me though.

They are very good, but yeah I've also only ever had them at classic soda shops. Every attempt at a bottled or canned chocolate carbonated soft drink I've ever had had been so, so dismal. I don't think you can properly carbonate something with the specific gravity of a satisfying chocolate drink, and something thin and bubbly just doesn't lend itself to the creaminess of chocolate.

We just went to a polish wedding last year and my experience was that the food was delicious but the whole thing comes out extremely gradually over the course of like 6-7 hours. So you have like apps and more apps and salad courses and on and on over and over untill around 9-10 pm they finally bring the main course.
