Flicker Alley just announced Laurel & Hardy: Year One for July 25 It'll include all 13 extant silent comedies from 1927, plus a few earlier films that featured them not as a team yet. Also, help me, I started picking up some Laserdiscs for movies I love. Never owned a Laserdisc player, but was completely enthralled with the way they looked, the packaging... drool. Going to frame a lot of these and hang them on my walls. My wife stared blankly at me while I explained why I needed 1986's Cobra on Japanese Laserdisc.

Last night was Radioactive Dreams (great concept, mixed execution like basically every Al Pyun movie), Blood Diner (what the gently caress), and Eve of Destruction (surprisingly competent but Gregory Hines feels miscast).

Legit surprised this wasn't already on Blu, seems like a no-brainer from the early days of the format but I said the same about Half-Baked. 3. No 4k seems like a missed opportunity.

I am pretty happy with my Orgazmo DVD—the memories of how that DVD came into being warrant its continued presence in my collection—I should get the Blu-ray one of these days, it's the only thing from that whole Trey and Matt cycle that still holds up for me. Also it can be had for a tenner and that's about the limit to what I'd ever want to spend.
