gods i am loving these glimpses of coach thorp's failing marriage as mrs thorp falls into a lesbian affair after being alienated from her husband for gods know how many years

we only get like, one strip of it every two and a half months but its so so good

like i know i am pretty much the thread cheerleader for gil thorp but i genuinely do think henry barajas is doing a fantastic job within the constraints of the strip, and now that we are rapidly closing in on a year i think that by and large he is delivering consistent and quality writing, and i am very glad that julet esqu is posting it

I really hope Dr. Eyepatch knows what he's doing, bringing up the whole deceased-ex thing, this early in a relationship. "I do love you" vs. "I also still love someone who died" can be... a minefield. It's certainly not a subject to be avoided at all costs, but it's one to be handled with care.
