If you only have a small baby's pizza roller as in the picture you must cut around the pepperoni so as not to have them lift and twist into the hub or guard of the roller. But to calculate the path to give equal numbers of pepperoni even if equally distributed becomes a challenge and you will naturally mess up and have some inequality. A pizza scimitar can cleanly sever the pepperoni and if the pepperoni are evenly distributed, the slices will naturally equalize without needing to complete the travelling pepperoni salesman problem with your pizza roller.
