My most listened to albums lately are oldies but goodies like Entombed - Left Hand Path, Suffocation's Pierced from Within. I'm very familiar with all of the greats from the 80s and 90s. What's the death metal scene like now? A coworker shared the new Liturgy album with me, not sure what I think yet but it has me curious about non-boomer death metal. What's a top album or two from the past 3-5 years?

Mefitis - Offscourings Conjureth - Majestic Dissolve 2020: Ulcerate - Stare Into Death and Be Still Faceless Burial - Speciation 2019: Immortal Bird - Thrive on Neglect Blood Incantation - Hidden History of the Human Race That covers a pretty broad spectrum of what's going on now. Clearly old school stuff (Conjureth), dissonant skronkiness (Imperial Triumphant, new Ulthar), Gorguts idolizers (Ulcerate, Nothingness), blackened death (Immortal Bird), etc.
