Thanks to this thread my wife and I watched Top Secret! tonight. I don't know if it's because I first saw Airplane! when I was in high school, but TS didn't hold a candle. It had a couple of decent gags but that's about it.

I definitely enjoyed Hot Shots! part Deux more than the 1st. Then again it may have been because of the memory of my friend shoving Junior Mints up his nose as the movie started and having them melt, so he spent the 1st half of the movie blowing chocolate & mint out of his nose.

Hot Shots Part Deux is exactly what comes to mind when I think of a movie I'd rent from the gas station specifically because of the box art. That technique honestly didn't fail that often. I even enjoyed Dracula Dead and Loving It, but I was a stupid kid then.
