somehow that last av was even worse than your posting
I bought a pc made by chillblast after being recommended them and was happy. It was ages ago though and they apparently were bought by someone else a couple of years ago so who knows. They say they've got loads of awards but also I can't seem to open their website on my phone without it crashing. So...

quote:

The Conservative party’s deputy chair, Lee Anderson, has said that anti-monarchist campaigners should emigrate rather than use their right to free speech to protest against the coronation of Charles III.

The comments followed the arrest of a number of demonstrators at the king’s coronation, including Graham Smith, the chief executive of the country’s largest republican pressure group, Republic, which was formed in 1983.

The police have been accused of a heavy-handed approach to the protesters after the arrests but Anderson expressed his personal frustration at the dissent by about 2,000 people around Trafalgar Square.

He tweeted: “Not My King? If you do not wish to live in a country that has a monarchy the solution is not to turn up with your silly boards. The solution is to emigrate.”

Anderson, who is known by the nickname “30p Lee” since suggesting that it takes 30p to make a meal, was appointed as deputy chair of the Conservative party in February.

I think that poem needs an update, it's missing "republicans"

Then they came for the trade unionists

Then they came for the Jews

Then they came for me

Some of this compulsion seems to be utility sure, but more about ease and certainly of providing self-conviction. You know the liberal consensus has been getting very comfortable dismissing the rising far right out of hand as racist. This is great as it lets said liberals reject the existence of the rise being a direct consequence of the negative outcomes of neoliberal dominance, outsourcing of Industry, globalisation etc (to be clear here - I personally I'm fine with dismissing the far right because they are racist)

But the left's critique was always more needling. Liberalism prides itself on vocally caring about things its actions self evidently prove it doesn't care about. So the left extolling them to live up to some of this rhetoric (homelessness, refugees, our worsening society whatever) is by its nature harder to dismiss and can potentially disturb the clear conscience of the liberal mind.

So grasping with both hands 'the left is antisemitic' rhetoric was not just really useful - but a wonderful shortcut to being able to not examine those contradictions. You could move straight to the rejection step without passing through any complex thoughts about the way several decades of neo-liberal domination of all the centres of power have seen all these problems get worse not better, and their moral place in that. This we live in the best of all worlds etc.

So I think they do believe it, because it makes them heroic individuals. They are not having complex metapolitical thoughts to come to the conclusion 'I should say X to defeat the left'. They are more saying X with conviction because it convinces them that they do not need to have any complex thoughts beyond that on the topic.

Yeah, I think they believe it because they desperately want to believe it on some level, and they have whole peer support groups who will help reinforce the idea whenever it comes up. There are plenty of examples of this on the internet, terfs, incels etc, why would it not happen in real life? It happens on the internet because it's quite easy to find your way into a place where insane ideas will be reinforced, and it's only when those ideas collide with reality that there is any dissonance, but what if you were powerful enough and privilged enough that you never had to seriously engage with anyone who disagrees with you?

That kind of social isolation is endemic to how class works in this country, people can exist in their own islands of thought that they are so accustomed to and can live so much of their lives inside that they simply don't have to seriously engage with ideas outside it, it is very easy to believe things that are not true when the truth does not actually impact you because you are insulated from it.

Overclockers used to be run by an absolute piece of poo poo but he died so they’re probably alright now.

I was under the impression the big special boy’s big special day was on Monday because my office is completely closed (which they only do for Xmas Day and Easter Sunday, not just regular bank holidays) but apparently it was yesterday and I completely missed the whole thing.

No idea why we’re closed then but that’s a little win for the frontline people who’d have to work it otherwise.

Listen buddy, we all got problems!
Overclockers are pretty good on price but they don't have the best reputation for customer service.
So for individual components I'd consider them, a whole PC?
Id go with scan instead.

Hmm not so sure, I'm imagine some do, but the Fox lawsuit showed at least over the pond they are very happy to parrot things they think are stupid to stay relevant and keep their audience. See no reason our right wouldn't do the same.

0.000% of Communism has been built. Evil child-murdering billionaires still rule the world with a shit-eating grin. All he has managed to do is make himself *sad*. It has, however, made him into a very, very smart boy with something like a university degree in Truth. Instead of building Communism, he now builds a precise model of this grotesque, duplicitous world.

It's weird, before Brexit/Trump/Gamergate most PC tech guys tended to be libertarian/above it all types, not authoritarian nationalists.

Obviously there is a pipeline, and plenty of Farages and such, but "I need the government to aggressively advance the interests of my ethnic group" is odd for a small business PC tech guy of that era.

I always did wonder why their old logo looked a bit like something off of a 2000s BNP pamphlet (or a 2020s Labour pamphlet).

It's more that racist tech sector small business guys back then were far more likely to be "the government needs to get out of the way and let the best succeed, if that means that certain groups end up at the bottom guess that just means that they're naturally worse" cunts rather than "we need an authoritarian government to protect the white race from my imaginary enemies" cunts.

So like more 00s UKIP than 00s BNP.
