Yeah, that's kind of what it was going for. The outright meanness of the second one wasn't the original intention but I couldn't figure out how else to give the punchline the desired impact without changing the structure too much. Again, I might workshop it later; cutting it down to just "Your mom's a painting!" might be the compromise that works best.
