It's kinda cool that the punishment for loving up a puzzle on the sky islands is to get dropped down straight into a new location full of wonder and adventure

I've mostly been flying around the surface and have been to the depths about three times as I figured I'd go there when I got some gear that lit the areas up. Turns out that even though it says radiant on it, the skullomania clothes don't actually light up the depths.

Spent about 4000 rupees building my dream home but otherwise went nuts in the depths and on the geoglyphs last night. This game keeps topping itself every 2 minutes lol

It didn’t even have steering but cobbling together a truck with a light on it for cruising around in the depths felt insanely cool

I had steering but then I tried to put a light bloom on it and it went haywire for some reason

I'm only like 10 hours in, but I think this is one of my favorite sequels of all time. It's like they took the bones from the first one and just built a better game onto them. They way they reinvented all the locations from the first game is so smart too, I'm constantly being surprised with how much effort they put into the little details. Of all the open world games I've played, I think this one feels the most "lived in" because it's history is something that you've been a part of.

yeah I think it's really fascinating to get a sequel to an open world game where the entire map from the original is back, but changed both by the passage of time and the new main threat. it's a kind of feeling I don't think I've run into in a game before and it's cool as hell

It reminds me of Gothic 2 more than anything else and if you'd told me ten years ago that I'd be saying that about a Zelda game I'd have called you a loving lunatic.

Someone called it the Majora's mask of BoTW and it's exactly on the nose

I keep trying to take old paths to get to places and am met with some fun new threats that weren't in the first game. One of the enemies is legit terrifying.

every time I want to take a break from the game, I see something cool-looking over in the distance or come up with something new to try and the to do list just keeps getting longer. The Depths are a perfect exploration experience and the sky is breathtaking, and I've barely scratched the surface of any of it. Almost every single thing feels fun to do, every time I encountered a new mechanic I was thinking "this is the coolest poo poo ever." So many incredible pieces of design

Getting hype as gently caress entering a shrine with a name like Rotating Shapes. Logs & Glue. Toothpick Bridge. Preschool has never been more based.
