Solar roadways are a great idea that only requires the invention of glass that is proof against weather extremes, that supports the weight of multi-tonne vehicles, that is both pitted enough for tyres to have traction on but also somehow does not get clogged with particulates that would block light, all while maintaining a cost-effectiveness that rivals simply dumping hot sludge on the ground and being thin and transparent enough to not interfere with light passing through it so it can perform the actual function you're putting it in for. No biggie. Then you have to build the electric network.

I think it would be easier just to make the roads a thermal power type thing to collect the heat energy made from burning Teslas, which if used to power the making of more teslas could than create a very self contained circle of life'esq power cycle.

Elon probably has to check every potential new hire's social media accounts for jokes to steal But honestly it baffles me that people would want to work for any of his companies at this point. Tesla and SpaceX have always been horrible grindhouses from the few people I know who have worked there. I'm in semiconductors and I wouldn't DREAM of applying to any musk company, jesus.
