Some tickets to Thrice in Montreal are down to about 1/3 of what they were initially trying to gouge for. Not sure if I should expect that to continue to under $100 a ticket. Show is 4 weeks out

It’s kinda an it depends?

For most shows, the closer you get to the physical start time of the show the lower the prices go. Buying minutes before doors/start time will get you the best price 90% of the time, often even less than face cause people don’t wanna risk losing the full money.

The exception is a show that’s going to sell out of resale tickets. Those prices don’t ever go down.

Saw Thrice for the first time in like 5 or 6 years on Friday for the 20th anniversary of Artist in the Ambulance tour. They can still bring it, Dustin sounded great. Show was sold out and there were more middle aged white dudes trying to start pits than I would have thought.

they’re doing the whole album right? They just announced it as part of an “under new management” renovation at a venue near me. funny enough it’s the same venue that I saw thrice, thursday and coheed at a million years ago, that was the first show I ever went to without adult supervision

First set is the entire album all the way through, yeah. They take a short break and play like 10ish more songs from all over the place, and then an encore with a cover you wouldn't expect but rocks. I would recommend grabbing a ticket.

My Jeromes Dream tickets went unused the other day due to family illness. It kinda sucks but I've never been a big concert goer, the last show I went to was Brand New/Manchester Orchestra in like 2010.

Anyways, The Gray In Between is really great.

Dunno if this is the right thread for sure, but I figure Bright Eyes falls under the emo genre?

Apparently they're releasing Companion EPs for all albums released so far (excluding the most recent) with remade versions of songs from each album, some with features from other artists, like the Fevers and Mirrors companion album featuring Phoebe Bridgers on a few tracks.

I can't justify the money buying all of them but I definitely want the Noise Floor, Fevers and Mirrors, and I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning companions...

EDIT: Apparently some of those rolled out back in November and I was none the wiser. drat.

At the risk of sounding like an rear end in a top hat: I loving hated the newest Bright Eyes album because it was completely soulless, and the reissues/companions are blatant money grabs. I know people gotta get paid, but drat it sucks when music that was so important to me in my youth gets the "time to cash in on nostalgia!" treatment

I really liked some tracks from the newest one, but it definitely didn't have the rawness some of the earlier releases had.

I get it though, yeah. It's definitely cashing in on nostalgia and I'm fully aware of it. Still want some of 'em all the same.

I get where you're coming from there but I've been buying up the Wilco anniversary deluxe remastered editions/box sets and I've got no complaints. It helps that they're my favorite band so ymmv but I think a lot of the stuff that's included in those is pretty close to essential
