Yes, my mistake. Our overseas posters may be more familiar with butter quantitatively tasting like vomit instead.

Parmesan is a point of view problem because it is made out of vomit, like chocolate. It quantitatively tastes like vomit but depending on circumstances it can be a good thing.

Parmesan also has this problem that people by and large think that the poo poo they get off the shelf that looks like it's in a container of Comet is Parmesan cheese.

I love cilantro, I don't think it tastes like soap but I honestly couldn't even describe how it tastes other than like itself. It's stuck a distinct thing, I had to learn to like it even without the soap gene.

I once brought a 2.5 kilo wedge of parmesan back with me to China. I didn't think it would be allowed in my bag so I kept it in my coat pocket instead. My bags got checked but my pockets did not.

In Mexico, it's huevos rancheros.
In Italy, it's eggs in purgatory.
In Turkey, it's menemen

I'm sure there are other culture that have an "eggs in stewed tomatoes" but those are the ones I'm immediately familiar with - it's such a versatile dish.

The funniest food smuggling I've heard of recently is people smuggling Fruit Roll-Ups into Israel.

Apparently, it's a response to a TikTok trend wherein you free the Fruit Roll-Up and use it in lieu of a waffle cone for ice cream. So, naturally, people are smuggling hundreds of pounds of the things.
