And I was just wondering whether they'd address that The Accidental Space Spy likely is at least smart enough to be concerned that, especially considering all he's seen of alien anatomies, that an apparently attractive alien woman doesn't necessarily have anything remotely resembling compatible physiology for a human. But of course he's also just dumb enough to get awkward about it. To be fair, he has every reason to be under a lot of stress, but still. That said: Keep in mind, he can't tell her that he has no idea what her species even is. There's an Ace Attorney joke in here somewhere but for some reason I first thought Yu-Gi-Oh! When you find a full leg of luxury cured meat you know you have been visited by the Food Goblin by the mark of a small piece expertly removed. The Food Goblin always check the quality herself and it is also a reminder that food is to be carefully sampled and enjoyed to it's fullest, not devoured like a beast would.

One thing I find really funny about TASS is that at no point have Plume and Dunkirk figured out that it might be a good idea for Plume to study literally anything at all before they go to each new planet. Not even something as simple as reading the personnel file for their own colleagues.

for Opplopolis fans, the author's been blogposting a bit and here's the upshot if you don't want to click quote:There will be an omnibus edition of Opplopolis. The current plan, subject to change, is for a 508-page soft-cover book with french folds, wrap-around cover — nice looking. In order to do it the way I would like, I’m going to have to do a crowd-funding campaign. The success or failure of the campaign will determine if the book costs around $40 USD and is available at retail, or if it costs significantly more and is available from the website only. Basically, it would determine if this is a self-published book, or a vanity project. Either way, an omnibus will exist.

Prince Valiant's grasp of Scandinavian geography seems rather shaky; he knew he was heading to "Jutesland" but still felt the need to scan the "grim fiôrds of the north;" I assume the authorial intent is that fantasy Jutland is meant to be a larger-than-life representation, with many diverse tribes and kingdoms, but I prefer to read that they just landed in the Netherlands and walked until they found someone who spoke Danish.
