The pandemic broke a lot of people's brains because suddenly, you had a tangible way how your behavior could impact other people, and why it would be reasonable to regulate that. And you had a perfect example of how you have to make decisions that will work for the best but might upset people, and how hard that can be. And none of that plays with the whole "people should do what they want, and nobody should tell them what to do" vibe that a lot of people have.

Not to start a big religion argument but how you can be a big Christian and also believe in lizard people doesn't make sense to me. If man was made in God's image then what does that make lizard people? Anyway, I watched about two minutes of that video and shut it off. But then some of Adore came up on shuffle and I listened to it all last night so just ignore anything Billy says and listen to the good tunes imo

Yeah I think at this point aren't we all just waiting for the Machina reissue? Aside from that I think it's fair to say pre-breakup SP is all anyone cares about? Considering how many bands have been releasing records on vinyl I'm not so sure about the shortage being the reason for the Machina reissue delay either, I think it's more likely a combination of Billy foolishly prioritizing other things (we should have got the Machina reissue rather than Atum, which clearly needed a lot longer to cook) and probably seeing it as something that maintains interest in SP since people like us listen to the new crap while we keep waiting for Machina. I think once that's finally released a lot of people will be done with the band since it's all most people want or are waiting for, and once we have it there's no reason to pay attention to Billy or SP any more. Even if this is wrong and sounds absurd I wouldn't be surprised if it's something that Billy thinks.

I mean, I'd probably buy a ridiculous Zwan box set because I didn't hate a lot of the stuff on that record, and rumor has it that the stuff he didn't put on that album (in typical Billy fashion) was incredible. Outside of that, absolutely. Oceania wasn't awful, but my only real memory of that album is that I saw them live in support of that and they played "Drown." At first I was super stoked and then I realized "Holy poo poo, I'm seeing arguably the best Pumpkins song ever recorded and there's only one original band member on stage. What the gently caress am I even doing?"

Support Zwan because David Pajo needs all the help he can get. I love him but like all the guys from Slint he's got the sad kind of brainworms (instead of Bilbo's aggravating brainworms) and I really hope he just doesn't need to worry about money, he's got enough on his plate.

From what I understand the issue is basically getting the poo poo pressed on vinyl. The Gish, SD, and Adore records are still selling crazy and can't keep up with demand, MCIS is 4 LP with an expensive package and is HEAVILY backordered still. Machina is going to be at least 4 LP as well which they would have to take time away from the stuff that is already out, selling out instantly and backordered to release something else which will add one more thing to that boat. There just isn't enough plant capacity to do it all.
