I was saying that more as a middle aged person that has twisted his angle/foot horribly multiple times than as a fan of Boston sports teams.

I wish I (or anyone, probably) could just watch sports without randomly deciding to hate one team or the another. I came into this playoffs with no strong feelings about teams in the East.. and by the end, I was desperate for the Celtics to lose tonight. It would have killed me if they got this historic comeback and their fans got to celebrate. I'm just so glad they lost bad.

Why? I can come up with reasons retrospectively... but I don't actually think they're real. My stupid brain just picked a side. Like... they had me cheering for James Harden. I remember not liking him... I think?

And as of now, I'm happy with Heat or Nuggets winning the finals. They both defeated teams I randomly decided to hate. But I won't last a game before I'll only be happy if the "right" team wins.

So dumb.

And in a way I'm yearning,
To be done with all this measuring of proof.

And anyway I told the truth,
And I'm not afraid to die.

Yeah gabe and strus are gonna get paid, the funny thing is caleb is locked in for the next two years at a very reasonable rate(for Miami), especially if he can play like this on a consistent basis.

His brain is literally fried from watching The Town four times a week. Some decent films related to Boston that Joe Mazzula needs to watch to further ingratiate himself:

-Altered States
-The Departed
-Field of Dreams
-The Friends of Eddie Coyle
-Gone Baby Gone
-The Last Detail
-Little Monsters
-Manchester by the Sea
-The Verdict

Celtics would have won if Joe had led a Manchester by the Sea marathon. They left a lot of dying little girl energy on the table.

Also Bill Russell in this era with the knowledge and rules we have would be a monster, same with like Wilt.

I dunno. Russell couldn’t even score in the 60s, he was the most athletic and usually biggest guy on the court and hit 50% true shooting one time in his whole career. An awesome guy but he’s probably Ben Wallace in the modern NBA. I guess at this point Big Ben didn’t really play in the modern NBA, I don’t know who you compare him to. The pure defensive specialist big is not in much demand lately.

Sure but it was absolutely revolutionary at the time. If it was so easy to do why was he the only one doing it?

Russel gets overrated in a lot of circles but there's a weird backlash when that happens when people then underrate them in response. Players can only play in the Era which they played, and Russell was one of the best of that time.
