I haven't heard anything about that, Fox has been pushing it really hard claiming it is the #1 Late Night Talk Show (it's not but it was very close late last year) and the only news about it lately is that it is still going despite the writers strike, so Greg's material must be even worse than usual.

Isn't that because it's non- union so it would be just as bad but not necessarily worse?

And the mercy seat is awaiting,
And I think my head is burning,
And in a way I'm yearning,
To be done with all this measuring of proof.
An eye for an eye
And a tooth for a tooth,
And anyway I told the truth,
And I'm not afraid to die.

Oh yeah his writers are just right wing stand ups. That stinks I was imagining Greg actually writing his own jokes instead of pretending he does.

Guaranteed this was a Mox initiative. In his book he talks about loving the country around Las Vegas, and how he used to take long hikes and bike rides out in the canyons and hills, and how he found a lot of peace and serenity out there. Bet he took his boys out there the moment he had the chance.

At the scrum Danielson said that he’d gotten really into hiking too. I think he said they did this on the day of Dynamite..?

Speaking of the scrum, Danielson also said he’s always reading poetry and not one of those philistine journalists asked him what poets he liked :colbert: I’d love to know

I

The broken pillar of the wing jags from the clotted shoulder,
The wing trails like a banner in defeat,
No more to use the sky forever but live with famine
And pain a few days: cat nor coyote
Will shorten the week of waiting for death, there is game without talons.
He stands under the oak-bush and waits
The lame feet of salvation; at night he remembers freedom
And flies in a dream, the dawns ruin it.
He is strong and pain is worse to the strong, incapacity is worse.
The curs of the day come and torment him
At distance, no one but death the redeemer will humble that head,
The intrepid readiness, the terrible eyes.
The wild God of the world is sometimes merciful to those
That ask mercy, not often to the arrogant.
You do not know him, you communal people, or you have forgotten him;
Intemperate and savage, the hawk remembers him;
Beautiful and wild, the hawks, and men that are dying, remember him.

II

I’d sooner, except the penalties, kill a man than a hawk; but the great redtail
Had nothing left but unable misery
From the bones too shattered for mending, the wing that trailed under his talons when he moved.
We had fed him for six weeks, I gave him freedom,
He wandered over the foreland hill and returned in the evening, asking for death,
Not like a beggar, still eyed with the old
Implacable arrogance. I gave him the lead gift in the twilight. What fell was relaxed,
Owl-downy, soft feminine feathers; but what
Soared: the fierce rush: the night-herons by the flooded river cried fear at its rising
Before it was quite unsheathed from reality.

Danielson explained that he dragged Yuta on a long hike in red rock canyon as penance for his failures in the match last week. "When you make mistakes you gotta bridge on the red rocks!!" sticks out in my mind because it has to be the first time anyone has ever said that.

quote:

My 2 weeks with Michael Elgin.
I am not affiliated with any wrestling “journalist” website. I have sent my research and article to all leading journalists to see if any will actually look into this.

Hello, I go by Shin, as my last name is Shinnley. I have a bachelor's degree in journalism and communications, as well as a brief career in pro wrestling. I had about 15 matches but decided to stick with journalism. Over my tenure in wrestling even though brief I attended many seminars, 1 seminar that stood out to me was a Michael Elgin seminar, it was so different than others that it encouraged me and a few others I had trained with to drive to Nashville from Michigan for the ROH 2014 Best In The World PPV where Elgin captured the ROH World Championship. Around 2015 I was fully out of wrestling, and truthfully didn’t really watch, or read about it often. I became a very casual fan catching some of what was on TV here and there.

AEW rejuvenated my love of wrestling, but still, I didn’t jump in head first. I decided to watch WrestleMania 39 and I was hooked. I now watch every show I can while still tending to my work in journalism. I have had an interest in writing about wrestling since night 2 of WrestleMania and I wanted to see what Michael Elgin was doing with his career.

The results were depressing, I found accusations and I felt a little heartbreak at that moment. Let me explain why, mentioned above was attending a Michael Elgin seminar. I had taken part in a handful of seminars with ex-WWE or now current AEW wrestlers and this one with Elgin stood out. We were set to start at 5 pm until 10 pm, but we didn’t end the seminar until 12:45 am. He truly cared about teaching us, he truly cared about us. I’ll never forget what he said when ending the seminar. I know seminars can seem like a money grab, but I hope that the $40 you spent and almost 8 hours was worth it. I never want a fan who pays for a ticket, or a wrestler who pays for a seminar to walk away feeling like they wasted money and have an unpleasant experience due to me or my love for Pro Wrestling. It just didn’t seem like the same man, I had asked around a handful of wrestlers I still keep in touch with and was directed to his videos.

People on reddit seem to think this is Michael Elgin pretending to be a journalist. I don't understand why! He writes just like a journalist does.
