Climate change to blame for up to 17 deaths on Mount Everest, experts say

Experts say this is likely to be one of the deadliest years on record on Mount Everest, with variable weather caused by climate change being blamed as one of the main reasons for the deaths of up to 17 people.

Sounds like a market opportunity. Asparagus loves salt so maybe they could take over Peru's spot as world's #3 producer.

Peru's asparagus fields have been so heavily salted they can't grow anything now but asparagus and a few other edible halophytes that no one has heard of or will pay money for. They definitely can't go back to growing coca on those fields. War On Drugs: Mission Accomplished!

What's the carbon footprint of a boomer bucket list expedition to Nepal? drat, look at that - my sympathy gland seems to have stepped out for a beer.

Sorry, feeling a bit owly after attending a BBQ where the retired boomer principals monopolized the conversation alternating between how important it was to quit using natural gas and comparing stories about their cruises and poverty tourism.
