Tbf it's really big "no this totally an ancient pagan symbol and not Himmler's floor decor" energy. Being that it's a fantasy paint as well which is even less justification. I'll buy that explanation for a set of "realistic log cabin" paint.

Also it being renamed Vulcan Orange, when Spock and the other vulcans had basically yellowface makeup in the original trek series to account for black and white and lovely early color TV. It's not exactly subtle.

about the third or fourth mini I ever painted was a metal plaguebearer that I slopped metallic purple all over. I hadn't seen actual 40k artwork of them other than the black and white image in the catalog at that point so I didn't know what they were "supposed" to look like.
