Figured it was riskier to give him pain meds than let him sleep and watch to make sure he doesn't re-open his incision. Funny to see a cat all wobbly though.

Yeah it turns out plinkey was running an operation with a lot of advantages and signal boosting from the mod staff no oversight or transparency, of course a transparent charity without that kind of favouritism is going to have more difficulties that everyone is going to see. And he also tried to sabotage it in its inception. Plinkey's an entitled poo poo who goes out of his way to denigrate the work of people who aren't as lucky or privileged as he is, of course he's a landlord.

Less cynically, I assume there were a lot of people who set a Patreon pledge years ago, forgot about it, and just haven't been paying attention. That $3600 was after years and lots of CSPAM attention/endorsement, and the new fund is a blank slate that only set up recurring donations a month or two ago.
