Comedy answer would be Chelsea and cram another expensive player into their midfield.

I wish there were a chance of Rice. Losing Kante, Kova, probably RLC and Mount will leave us pretty depleted.

Tyler Adams might be going to Villa. As much as I'd like to get the big comedy broom out and sweep almost all traces of last season out of the club asap Adams was actually decent and he'd do well there

Old players going somewhere for money for one or two seasons before they retire has been a thing for decades, just the money involved is more stupid now

The Saudi league exodus is definitely the same as the Chinese league one except the money is real this time and it probably wont run out nearly as quickly.

The Saudi league has actually existed and been somewhat successful, whereas the Chinese league had gambling/refereeing scandals within the last decade. But yeah, both throwing around a ton of cash, the Saudi money is a bit more likely to arrive and not disappear on a whim.

Phillipe Auclair was saying the other day they are going to back FIFA's plan to make the Club World Cup the new UCL and screw UEFA over, they have taken the top four clubs in their league under goverment control and are sharing signings out for balance. Their goal is the CWC makes the UCL look tinpot, leagues like Saudi have 4 qualifying spots and by the time they arent a farmers league and attracting prime talent they will have a good chance at being the best teams in the world.

It would be pretty cool as a concept to have a global club competition that isn't euro centric but would be better if it wasn't bought and paid for with blood money.

Club world cup is a great idea. Get rid of the Carling Cup, make the European cups pure knockouts, no group stages, to accommodate it.

It’ll be nightmare for the traveling fans but you don’t really need away fans do you

There’s not gonna be a bidding war imo. It’s more likely that he’ll run down his contract. PSG might want to sell but Mbappe basically has veto power over whether a sale happens. What incentive does he have to go through with it?
