I'm picturing trying to research a topic and having to wade through the endless stream of AI produced fake articles and websites with seemingly coherent text until you get to page 2 and give up because you start noticing the tell tale signs of AI generated content/misinfo. The lack of effort needed to flood the internet with unending nonsense text dressed up like something real is going to make talking to other humans or reading things humans wrote really challenging. Yeah, I live in Washington and have family and friends that live in Moscow Idaho which is twelve feet from the border and I believe under Idaho law it would be illegal for me to drive someone those 12 feet, Washington has been great in saying "we're not going to extradite anyone for this" and I'd still do it if that wasn't the case, but it's really hosed up, and if it came to it, it would mean I couldn't visit my family in Idaho anymore.
