My only objection to the "TERF" acronym is that I think a lot of the trans-exclusionary people are not radical feminists, at least not in the way I understand that term (dating back to when I was born and earlier). I also don't like how "feminism" has been a bad word and is now being a worse word in that phrase, because we actually do still need feminists. "Radical feminist" was a phrase used to attack feminism by claiming that feminists were extremists trying to tear down society, or would engage in terrorism, etc. so I kind of cringe when I see it as being included in a descriptor of someone whose views are regressive and are used to oppress (a class of) women. It's a weird sort of reversal, that I guess the right would claim to embrace a type of radical feminist rather than opposing them, while the left would adopt the phrase as legitimate.

IMO people like Rowling aren't feminists at all. I think if you're trans-exclusionary, you're not fighting for women's rights. I'd rather push for a universal recognition that feminism is by default trans-inclusionary, and that trans-exclusionary views cannot be feminist.

It's probably way too late for that, and this is just me whining in a corner about confusing language. Also I haven't discussed this with anyone so I may just be confused.

Anyway, fun comedy villains: did anyone mention Lo Pan yet?

I saw a tiktok the other day where a guy confronted some dipshit who was holding up a "Hitler was right sign". He screamed at the guy and went absolutely insane all up in his face until the guy left.

And he said in the tiktok that his stance comes from Karl Popper who spoke about the paradox of tolerance which goes something like, "In order to maintain a tolerant society, the society must be intolerant of intolerance".

He said whenever you see somebody being an intolerant rear end in a top hat, you need to confront it head on, otherwise that poo poo festers and spreads and ruins society.

and he said especially if you're a member of a group that has power you have this responsibility to be a strong ally to marginalized and oppressed groups.

I've been thinking about that a lot and it makes me want to yell at people.

:hfive: I actually had a chud say to me when I was giving him poo poo "aren't you supposed to be the tolerant ones?" dumbass fucker.

Danny Noonan

Judge is trying to help this kid out and he doesn't care about the scholarship and instead bangs his niece. When he's not oppressing other caddies, bootlicking the man to overcharge for sodas or knocking up immigrants.

My favorite part of Caddyshack is the Danny's girlfriend getting pregnant than magically not being pregnant anymore with zero stakes or acknowledgement beyond the two scenes in which those things happen.
