basically just never use the bonus exp and you won't outlevel stuff, i wouldnt worry too much and yeah money is pretty useless on purpose. you use it in the early game to buy some accessories and then the shops never really update

I keep forgetting that people didn't like the exp system in XBC3 because I just played with a hack that patched in level select from the start and constantly lowered my level whenever I felt too strong

I used my bonus exp all the time and never had issues. I never grinded or did every single thing in every area as I played tho so maybe that's why I wasn't super overleveled.
