Eiichiro Oda, the One Piece guy. One Piece has been running for 25~ years and the guy has written/drawn over a thousand chapters of roughly 20 pages each in that time. Even with assistants it’s pretty impressive to maintain that kind of output for so long

I don't usually post the Sunday strips cause they're mostly the bland and inoffensive crap that we've all come to expect from newspaper comics, but every once in a while there's a good one.

Oh, I'm with you 100%. I read Heathcliff daily but I frequently question why I bother with the Sunday comic at all, because they're usually quite different and not really worthwhile.

I always forget that it's Sunday

Decap attack comic unlocked my childhood memories of playing on the sega mega drive the original Japanese version of the game, with a very different aesthetic. The western changes definitely make it a lot more memorable

Kill Six Billion Demons

Alt: Thanks for reading! This is the final book, and I hope you enjoy it!
e: Or at least that was the plan, but Abaddon later decided to split the rest of the story into two books

quote:

KILL SIX BILLION DEMONS

BOOK 5

BREAKER OF INFINITIES

Alt: Thanks for reading this far! We have a wild ride ahead, please stick with me for the next sequence as I anticipate it's going to be a huge pain in the rear end to draw.

quote:

Catastrophe

Alt: Discordance of the Demiurges

quote:

“The dread masters of this world meet under two circumstances: to discuss the terms of our enslavement, or absolute apocalypse. There is no good of their coming together. Much like a man will tell a storm is coming by the color of the sky, if you should see their meeting, you had best head for high ground.”

– Musko Reeve

Alright, so, I'm a bit at odds about this book. I'm not going to talk about what actually happens in the story, but I'll spoil the next part since I'll talk a bit about the structure of the book itself. Most of it is essentially one big fight. I felt, at times, that it really dragged on, but this could also just be because Abbadon's posting schedule slowed down tremendously because he was dealing with a lot of stuff in his personal life. I'm curious to see how it holds up on a revisit, especially with the rate at which I've been posting things myself

I read through it first time last month without (major spoilers for this arc) the posting schedule and as a block it reads perfectly fine, although fridging Cio feels like a weak move. It's definitely the weakest of the books but that sounds harsher than I mean it because it still features some top-shelf manga-style fight sequences..

I kind of tuned out of the whole tournament arc. It felt like two little kids on the playground arguing about shooting each other with a gun that can shoot through any shield vs a shield that can block any gun. Kind of disappointed that we’re just going back to more interminable fighting especially since the last five minutes with White Chain’s incarnation and Allison’s reunion made it look like we were finally going to do something character or setting related.

(equally major spoilers)
Abbadon said to trust him on that point and knowing the nature of devils I don't think her fate has been so easily decided. I'll revisit this when we get to that point. I will say, while the fight itself lacks plot, everything that happens afterward is extremely good so I think it balances out overall

The Saga

Previously on Tales of the Beanworld, Mr. Spook's fork got broken apart and Beanish participated in the Total Eclipse crossover.

Alright, long one today, since it's just seven comic pages and the rest is letter pages and contest, but I don't want to leave out those. We get a little more insight into Beanish—he's not just an artist, he's the shaman of the bean tribe. Total Eclipse was his shamanic journey.
