It wouldn’t surprise me if Fox acknowledged pride by giving out anti-gay propaganda that talks about things like glory holes and forcing children to transition.
Reading through the thread it was Fox Corp that had basically a Pride internal website set up, and towards the end they list some books, podcasts, and TED Talks on LGBTQ issues that you could read/watch/listen to in order to "expand your perspective" and Walsh apparently scoured those to discover that a memoir from a queer person has a brief passage about learning what glory holes are, or that a guest on one of the podcasts in 2019 said something explicitly sexual about pegging, etc.

And the Woke AI is offering employees access to Eskalera, a company that as best as I can tell offers DEI style training videos for people to watch and I guess customizes their "journey" based on input/stated identities (which includes everything from LGBTQ to ethnicity to "parent" or "married" or "Catholic"), which is like saying Duolingo uses "woke AI" to make sure you learn Spanish better. Though maybe they're worried that Fox HR shouldn't know that you are widowed or Jewish or near-sighted, for reasons. But then you could just not volunteer that in the Eskalera app, or not use the app.

It's not surprising that Walsh is full of poo poo, but at worst this seems like pretty milquetoast/inoffensive if shallow Corporate HR being cherry picked and misrepresented to sound horrifying, but even when you do that it still hinges on trying to make things like "THEY'RE HAVING A PRIDE ICE CREAM PARTY. CO-SPONSORED BY BEN AND JERRY'S. AND EMPLOYEES CAN BRING THEIR KIDS TO THE ICE CREAM PARTY. HORRIFYING" that really only works on people really far gone.

I mean, that's what they're trying to do; to make the mere concept of "woke" (a thing that, judging by the past few pages of this thread, encompasses everything from catsup to the concept of systemic injustice) toxic, even if it's as milquetoast and tame as "No, you can't run through the office screaming the f-slur like it's a call of duty lobby and you're 14".

When you say "they" do you mean Matt Walsh or Fox Corporate? I was mostly posting to address the idea that the Fox Corporate Pride Guide was deliberately highlighting gloryholes and forced transition and 'scary' stuff to poison the well. I agree that you don't need to feature any of that in a Pride post/statement to get people het up; I work for a non-profit that sells a Pride-themed tchotchke and we post a link to it every year on our socials, alongside more substantive mission-based content, and this is the first June for as long as we've done that where the post has received like a dozen WHAT'S TO BE PROUD ABOUT BEING SATANIC PEDOFILES DAMNING OURCHILDREN? and memes of people wiping their rear end on a rainbow flag. You just need to exist to get the real hardcore base spewing hate.

The origin of the way the word is used by conservatives today is when white supremacists purposely appropriated it to:

1. Trigger the blacks, and:

2. Mock AAVE in general and give all of it negative connotations in people's minds.

The entire point of its use is racism.

And they're also good at coming up with innocuous-sounding dogwhistles like "it's OK to be white." Most people aren't going to recognize the racist intent behind its use and will think that people who get triggered by it are overly sensitive and/or trying to get people to think of nearly anything as racist. It's insidious.

They've always recognized that language is important and have perfected how to exploit it. As I've said before, a lot of the abortion debate is affected by the way that regressives have successfully managed to frame the debate around words like "life"/"mother"/"baby".

They're even using the technical term "fetal heartbeat" in an extremely misleading manner to make people believe it means something it doesn't. And they're almost never challenged on it. People need to call it out more.

I've had a satirical protest idea kicking around for a while, inspired by this.

1. Pick a graduate-level optional course in law school at random.
2. Advocate heavily for banning it in public schools in a Texas legislature meeting, while emphasizing that it's never been taught there.
3. Get called out on what you're saying being irrelevant bullshit, point out it's the exact same kind of irrelevant bullshit they've already done once.

I haven't tried this mostly because I know it wouldn't make a difference at all, and also because I'm too poor to drive very far.

They think a kid being trans is like a housecat being vegan. The parents that are supportive are just doing it for attention because it's "trendy" to have a trans kid these days (they get referred as having "Munchausen by proxy") and the doctors are allegedly making a fortune from transing kids.

I'm aware of Rufo and what he did, but the point was nobody was teaching CRT to grade schools, it was a scary sounding word. and no I'm no trying to explain that to people.

The bigots know what they were talking about and the bigots know the trans people aren't groomers.

You don't need to explain it, they already know. Very few people are unclear.

The CRT poo poo is "my kids are learning that white people did bad things" and "Trans-groomers" are "queer people make me uncomfortable". Nobody ever thought that CRT was being taught in schools, they instantly knew that what everyone meant was "teaching real history instead of soothing myths".
