It'll either go straight to reddit or just have a few pages of AI-generated SEO junk. as someone who has been adding "reddit" to the end of all their searches, this is worrisome to me because I feel like its use is on the chopping block. less people detailed responses to answers I google, as those people migrate elsewhere and are replaced in the end by bots and all information is useless and I'm back to asking direct question anywhere else.... in other news I asked a few questions over in traditional games and I got answers I really enjoyed and have improved my life marginally.... which is more than reddit has done in a while lol I haven't replaced my local subreddit but maybe thats for the best

There is a very strong chance your local goon community has a secondary layer where all the activity actually happens. the goons in korea thread has been on life support for years, because most of the users created a kakao chatroom and use that for hundreds of daily messages. Likewise, the San Diego goons have a discord which is very active while the thread gets 1-2 posts a day.

Bad Purchase posted:300 API calls per day? how could any website afford such a thing? The developer said most of those calls are for insanely stupid things like notifications because Reddit doesn't have a sane API for them, like "leaving a socket open." You also can't bundle requests, so each action performed is a separate API call. All of this bullshit, and he still got it down to 300~ API calls per user per day. I think it came out to around 3% of the approved requests per user per day of the original API guidelines. FlapYoJacks fucked around with this message at 21:05 on Jun 19, 2023 |

I don't think so. Big Money started the enshitification process long ago, even before the whispers of the IPO / Spez cashing out. Right around when Conde Nast bought the site and /or Victoria got the boot by my reckoning. Also, mod tools suck, modding sucks, and it's not going to get any better anytime soon. Good mods are either giving up or are shills / sock puppets and that's just hastening the high pressure poo poo spray that's coating all of Reddit
