Anyway my Xbox All Access means my price will stay the same until Feb and stuff but this still seems like an unnecessary hike (the Series X one sucks too but Sony already did the same thing so I can’t blame them)

The PS4 price was always the same in Spain (€). When the PS4 slim and PS4 Pro came out, launch model just got some extra deals including games etc to get it out of stock quick. Then the newer models kept their price steady until the PS5 launched, which was super rare so basically went out of stock too without dropping a single euro. That's crazy considering that the PS2 got sold for something like 120€ (that pack with that Buzz game) when the PS3 was out for the first year. Then the PS3 got super cheap right after PS4's launch. Same happened with the Xbox360 to Xbox One and Xbox One to Series S|X, they just got cheaper, not more expensive.

My wife very unexpectedly got me a PS5 GoW bundle for Father’s Day and it is fine and all, but it doesn’t even allow you to turn off the TV/receiver with HDMI CEC or turn off one of the controllers with long press of the PS button, wtf

I'm sure I came close but honestly if I got to the point it was draining dead I'd need to stop playing anyway so I don't turn into a lump. That said I turned the speaker on that motherfucker off right away which probably helps.
