What’s the minimum depth they could be buoyant at, be rescued at, and the hatch could be opened immediately without depressurization? My understanding is that even if they were found right now they’d still run out of air while depressurizing. So it’s suffocation or the bends.

Just to get my goon submarine lore straight. Groversub is a goon project to design a sub that never came to fruition. The submarine murderer was helped by a goon but not a goon themselves. Groversubmersible collapsed on Sunday and they've been goo for days.

So if they happened to surface it would be uncontrolled and it would kill them, right? A controlled ascent is 8 or so hours? And even if they survived the ascent and were on the surface of the water they still only have x amount of oxygen because they cant open a hatch or anything.
