 From - Lord Admiral Grey Hunter, To - Her Royal Highness, Empress of the Croctapus Empire.   With the vassals under control, let's take another crack at Tuva!  The enemy flee before us.  So we burn their capital.  Then we go on the hunt.  Battle is joined, and both sides feed all their forces in.  Numbers win the day.  We take more land while they reform.  Arthur celebrates with some fancy regalia.  It may be a little premature, but I feel it's justified.  Victory is ours!  Someone else takes the peaceful way into the kingdom.   This is the other option we're giving people.  Advance my simian minions!  One massacre later, we're over their city.  I order the men to swarm the walls, taking the city and ending the war.   My eyes turn towards a larger chunk of land. This would also link the two halves of the kingdom.  Our men swarm forward.  They mass their forces and march on my northernmost army.  Our force is defeated, and I'm forced to march the other armies north.  We take heavy losses, but we win. That's all that matters.  They reform and hunt down another of our smaller armies.  We respond in the same way.  We take out half their force.  We see more and more side battles as they try and avoid our main armies.  They can only do that for so long. Every time they hunt down a small army, we take a province or two.  Then we murder them again.  In the end, the result is assured.  That looks a lot better!  Maybe my celebratory feast got out of hand.   Well, these guys made a bad choice in not becoming our vassals.  The mass murdering continues.  He he he.  I throw more minions at the walls to overwhelm them.   This last one was the one thing we needed to created the Kingdom of Ob, and give us claims over huge tracts of land.  This lady likes Arthur already.  Now she really likes us.  The castle is now massive, people go weak at the tentacles thinking about having to assault it.  Peaceful expansion is better than military expansion – it's cheaper!  Look how strong your kingdom is, your highness! Send those troops so I can complete this work. Yours, Grey Hunter.

Unfortunalty, Angara sits right on the border of two empire titles, so we're Empire sized, but need to take more land in either direction to be able to form a title.

[looks over recent update and posts] Croc's kingdom is constantly changing and seeking to expand, always under his control. I wonder where he is going from here. Perhaps Croc wishes to be equal to the Empress? Or perhaps he merely hopes to give her a new perspective on what kind of person to be? A 'New Groove', to reference a popular Disney movie centered around an Emperor? I will restrain my further speculation to limit possible offense. Please enjoy meditation on what I am imagining if it interests you. Then I hope you'll get back to enjoying the LP.

From - Lord Admiral Grey Hunter, To - Her Royal Highness, Empress of the Croctapus Empire.   I expand the retinue, this world now has cannons! You know, those ceremonial things we use in opera? THIS IS CUTTING EDGE TECHNOLOGY HERE!  This is an interesting opportunity, we could replace the lord of Mongolia with one of our minor vassals.  There is a method to my apparent madness.  Albion forces take a hammering, we rush to reinforce.  We send in our forces.  Things are going well, but their last wave of troops seems to turn the tide of battle.  Well, that was not a great start!  Another battle is soon started.  Our retinue is late to the battle, giving them an advantage.  Which they turn into a slaughter.   Another reform after the rout, and this battle seems to be going better!  Oh wait.  Well, this is going well. We then make a rush to their capital, and throw our men at the walls, trying to take it quickly.  This pays off spectacularly, as we take Khan Chaghagan hostage! He is deposed and Count Begunutei is put in his place.   My god! There Mongolia is no longer held by a Pendragon! How ever did this happen – just as well we can make this right!  We are coming for you, you vile usurper!  Arthur is now more prepared for this.  We march on their capital and slaughter their army.  Our cannon bring down their walls. We loot the city.  We are much quicker at sieges than they are, so I ignore their forces and take land.  I spend simian lives like water to speed up the seiges.  Albion forces march south.  They engage in battle.  And win comfortably.  This is all we need to end the war.  This is much better. But still not right.  We crush the Mongolian electors.  Then we put things right in the world.  Apparently all I needed was another Arthur!  The throne room is packed with artifacts.  The Empire is reborn! We are strong and powerful – who could challenge us?  Oh yeah. But at least I have an empire for you, if you ever arrive. Yours. Grey Hunter. So! We're coming up on the end rapidly now, and I need to make a discussion on whether to do a conversion to EUIV, and go full mega-campaign or call this as Crocs eternal cycle of failure and play something else.

That’s a pretty large empire! Hope it’s stable. I’m sure the Empress has a bigger better one, but her troops won’t mind adding Croc’s work to that empire. He is doing this for her, right, not himself or anyone else? One can never be sure sometimes. The Empress’ troops can surely handle the Byzantines too, if necessary, if she even considers Croc worth her attention. That’s my take on how this can end. I will let Grey Hunter run with it from here. I have enjoyed this LP and will enjoy the next also if inclined. Still recommending Croc try Pathfinder: Kingmaker or Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous as the character he feels most appropriate. I think I’d enjoy that at least as much as I did this LP.

Do what you will, either way, I am satisfied TV screen person. Although if we are being honest, toppling an Empire by killing their leader a few times is rather easy if one should have the required skills and people at their disposal.

Once the megacampaign gets up to Hearts of Iron maybe Croc can finally competent himself into booting up those battlemechs with early atomic tech so he can finally get his empire to stay together for more than a decade at a time

I have never done a mega campaign in the newer games, but it was always fun watching the blob empires pretty quickly disintegrate within 50 years of starting EU. So I vote mega campaign cause that Byzantine is going to be a mess.

From - Lord Admiral Grey Hunter, To - Her Royal Highness, Empress of the Croctapus Empire.   We reorganise the... Third? Albion Empire.  Lands are handed out.  An Imperial Crown is commissioned.  Now we have a slight bookkeeping error- there is both a Kingdom and Empire of Albion existing at the same time.  Let's solve that!  That's a nice Crown.  We march and storm the capital - this gives us 50% war score right off the bat!  Now for their army.  This was a nice quick war.  Much neater!   On to the next kingdom that refuses to accept Albions rule.  This will not be hard.  Arthur is spending his time dressing up and pretending to be a common soldier.   We meanwhile take the capital and capture former high chief Seitek.  Well, that was quicker than I expected.  King Inwear is made a councillor to keep him happy.   Next in this fantastic chain of events sees us use the new lands to usurp a duchy.  Then we invade the lands of said duchy.  We engage their force in battle.  We lose, but I don't care, as that was a third of my forces.  They flee as we conquer their lands.  The can't run forever.  Both sides are even in skill, and it comes down to numbers alone – this is a massive grinding battle that sees both sides taking heavy losses.  We have the numbers.  The Empire to looking healthy now.  We are being benevolent – we give Kobyak back her lands – and a grander title of Petty Queen.  Though victorious, the Empire has been at war for most of Arthurs reign, and people are getting grumpy – we've also run out of large targets to conquer! So it's time to do some Empire building.  We transfer a few more vassals to Kobyak.  We begin another mass construction plan.  Arthur tries to be a man of the people.  Though he has some dark thoughts about what he could do to those peasants – but don't we all!  We are even gifted an artifact.  The retinue is expanded massivly.  The kingdom is stable, and there is change in the air. Times are changing. Hopefully due to incoming dropships. Hint hint. Yours. Grey Hunter.

From - Lord Admiral Grey Hunter, To - Her Royal Highness, Empress of the Croctapus Empire.   Another daughter comes of age.  And is of course married off.  We can gain some nice land here.  Swarming the capital never seems to go wrong.  I send a force to crush their army.  They of course flee.  The battle comes down to numbers – they put up a strong fight.  In the end, we can take these losses a lot better than they can!  The cannons are making short work of their walls.  Castle after castle falls to our guns.  The empire expands once more.   A new title was created.  Arthurs wife dies. He remarries someone who gives us allies we don't need at the moment.  Another expansion is planned.  In a shocking move, the enemy get the drop on Arthur, destroying his army while it is still musteing.  Ah, they were already in a war, with their own armies raised. This is not going to change the outcome of the war.  Can we Join in?   Arthur is getting good at this war business.  Their capital falls in less than a month to our cannons.  Five months is a nice rapid war.  We do inherit their other war however.  Have a walk Arthur, I've got this!  That's that war over.   Still no sons for Arthur!  Another daughter comes of age.  We are spending a lot of money expanding the country – it seems that every day brings news of more and more developments.  Arthur spends some time playing with a corpse rather than eating it.   Leave the man to his pastimes!  He wanders down to the brothel instead.  Maybe you should have washed your hands first? The hygiene here is still terrible!   I on the other hand have convinced someone to join us rather than getting crushed.  Maybe Kyzylzharid will get the hint.   We go on a title creation spree.  It doesn't sway him.   Truces prevent expansion, so Arthur holds court – and people are flocking into Albion.  He keeps his vassals fighting each other.  And welcomes another tiny province into the empire.  We immediately make the man a petty king.  Arthur spreads the pox.  Though it's not stopping the intended effect.   We lose part of the nation to an inheritance – we have no claims, and no way to retake it quickly.  This is high tech for this world. It's almost impressive.  Arthur invests time in his herbs.  But this age has come to an end. The winds of change are blowing, the rise of gunpowder will change the world, and I, for one, am ready for change. I have been here nearly six hundred years now, and it has become clear that I will not be receiving help. I am here to conquer this world on my own. I shall stop insulting you with requests for aid, I shall show you that I deserve it, and then I am sure you will send the forces to occupy this world.  Yours. Grey Hunter.

I do love how the ethnicity of the Pendragons went heavily Indian, before swinging back after the collapse. Religion has been all over the shop. If you haven't guessed, I'm going into EUIV, though no timescale on the next update, as I need to convert, and I have some other things I need to do for a new TTRPG game on Sunday. So, I've nearly finished my campaign prep, and I'm looking at the editor - the main choice I can see is do I shatter the Byzantine empire and give them the HRE mechanics, or keep them intact as a massive blob of an empire. What do you guys think?
