We washed off the mud in a nearby stream and hid it in a folded up brochure. We lay on grass and pondered buying ice cold bottled water, feeling the warmth of the earth staining our shirts.

i just got back from a daybreak hike, gorgeous views and i saw two woodpeckers, no monkeys tho

This didn’t work for me, but once I got it I didn’t want to disturb an already fragile ecosystem by stopping.

its a powered respirator. they wear them in a bunch of industrial work, or in labs when actively handling stuff like covid or other even worse stuff, but theyll just use the papr bcos the other respirator is completely redundant at that point. however if youre so paranoid you think everyone laughing at you has covid brain damage youll wear both anyway to Feel Safe.

Ball Park Goon is definitely not wearing a PAPR, that's just a regular-rear end half-mask respirator and a cheap plastic faceshield to increase performativeness:

when mask mandate lifted a bunch of artists i knew would get incredibly furious about masks being optional at conventions as if a paper mask was capable of protecting you from breathing the same air for 8+hours while people are shoved nuts to butts in a room the size of a mcdonalds

Catching diseases has been a whole meme about cons for years, even after they started telling people to please shower and use deodorant, and possibly giving lessons on how.

I remember the daily 321 (hours sleep, meals, shower) principle being mentioned at a con I went to in 2002.

one of my favorite random data points when covid first was released (by the CDC) was that smokers were statistically underrepresented in covid patients and that therefore smoking helped protect you from covid. was this ever disproven

One of the leads mentioned is an old gbs creepy images thread here on SA. It’s just someone’s anonymous recollection and I’m almost certain that they’re wrong, but is there any way to investigate the old creepy images threads? Waffleimages is lost, right?

I'm still watching this but the original backrooms 4chan post was written by goon black August

Oh, yeah, I forget if I mentioned it here but I was the one who wrote the Backrooms blurb to begin with. I had no idea what it had become until months and months later.

In this game you’re seeing some of the ideas I’ve been working on all this time that the Backrooms / The Back came from.
