Hatebreed - most of the discography, especially i will be heard and destroy everything
Soulfy circa 2002 - Tribes, Eye for an Eye, and they also played Roots Bloody Roots live at that time
Machine Head - Davidian, Imperium, Ten Ton Hammer,
Slayer
Early Slipknot - Sic, Wait and Bleed, Spit it out, People = poo poo, all loving rule to mosh to
Children of Bodom - In Your Face

Nu Metal section of forgotten pit bangers

in terms of just wildly dangerous moments, the late 90s and early 2000s were full of them because at any show with nu metal bands 150 kids and drunk rednecks would just descend on the pit for like 2 songs during Drowning Pool or whatever and had no idea how to handle themselves.

at the State theater, now Fillmore in Detroit, when Drowning Pool played Bodies it was basically just a fight that broke out on the floor as a ton of morons just started swinging at anything that moved.

My favorite part of this is that I remember you telling the thread about it before and I'm crazy jealous about it. Only got to seem them once (at Decibel's 100th issue celebration w/ Converge & previously discussed Municipal Waste) and it was a legendary show but no Junkyard God.

I want a 25th anniversary show in a few years, would travel down to VA/MD for that. That three-for hit of Starbelly / Junkyard God / Piss Angel, loving hell

Can confirm having only seen them play DMDS in full. I've never listened to any of the stuff past that but I'm curious about it. Mostly I think the transition between Attila and Corpsegrinder on stage is really funny to think about.

Grand Declaration War is a good but weird album, and Chimera is much more of what you expect from Mayhem in comparison.

I personally hated Ordo Ad Chao but like Esoteric Warfare and really enjoyed Daemon.

Also Deathcrush is good.

Anyways, Keldian have some fantastic mid tempo tunes, in a similar "power metal meets AOR" vein:
