First time I've seen an American goldfinch at our feeder.  No other birds are messing with him. He's been there for the last 10 minutes. The sunflower seeds are all his.

So when I’m wearing real clothes, I get several hovering birds, just checking out the new human until they determine it’s me and that the feeders are still safe. It must be weird to birds that we change our plumage so often. Also, the top female does NOT like my migraine glasses.

i went to the home depot and there were some pigeons walking around on the top shelves like there often are one of them kept flying down to the same spot in the corner whenever i turned away. so i looked more closely and someone had put out bowls of water and goldfish crackers for them

I heard y'all like birds. I used to post pictures in here from my buddy Tony. Sadly, he doesn't photo much anymore. But guess what! I got a camera and I've been taking pics. I don't think this is true for hornbills, but in some species of birds the young produce fecal sacs which lets the parents easily remove them and keep the nest clean.
