 For what it's worth, when they debated the Trad Cath guy in that abandoned/deleted thing (no idea if it's still up on Youtube), Matt was the only one besides Amber to actually try and stop the bullshit. "Well, obviously you're okay with some censorship. What about filming animal abuse, you'd censor that, right?" and after they started getting bogged down Matt breaks out the "Wait, gently caress off! We're not talking about that. You want to ban sitcoms and Game of Thrones! We're talking about that!"

It's true, not enough normal people listened to that interview to hear the part where Matt said "if you want to beat trump, vote for bernie because we will withhold our votes otherwise." The only thing about that interview I want to mention, that hasn't been brought up a thousand times, is that Isikoff says he's never heard of CTH in early 2020. It's whatever, I don't know that he should, but it is really funny to be a politics podcaster and not recognize them.

I believe both of those are true. But I now believe in a third secret reason as well. They killed Batgirl because once Miller went on their super crime spree they had to figure out something to put in commercials for the The Flash. And the best they had was the return of Michael Keaton Batman. Which wouldn't work if he had already returned in a straight to streaming movie 6 months before. There was nothing else they could use to advertise the movie they'd spent 200 million dollars on and was supposed to be the keystone linking the old DCCU to the new DCCU. So Batgirl had to die while Shazam 2 and Black Adam could be allowed to limp to theaters.
