Ah, see, there your problem. If you zoom in, you can see the LTE master alarm is lit up. Might want to check the tail rotor for any possible issues.

Squelch is some kind of radio term isn't it? A weird thing to put on a evacuation map but maybe everyone is supposed to have a radio.

Squelch is a radio term, but it's just tuning the receiver sensitivity up or down to get rid of the background noise. Not sure what it would have to do with this.

Follow-up studies suggest that groggy adults (from, eg, smoke inhalation) tend to sleep through them too. sine & other simple wave pulses are super audibly clear when you're awake since they have no overtones unlike naturally generated sounds, with alarms and stuff like that they're usually just a super sharp spike of sound at one pitch and one volume that's why they sound so 'thin' and will pierce through other sounds even if they're not actually as loud. it's a relative thing, your ears track sounds by their loudest audible pitch but they're expecting to hear other pitches above/below it and when they don't it makes the sound very distinctive when you're asleep I think that same thing can cause them to be filtered out as internal sensory noise, kinda like tinnitus they're also hard to determine the direction of when awake since the reflected sound will be very similar to the origin, bc no overtones and no change in loudness, human ears & brains aren't made to track that well the newer alarms start quieter and become louder, there's a psychoacoustic effect where if you hear a sound and then hear it go up in volume, it'll make something sound louder than it actually is from the same relative loudness thing (go 'AHHH' then go 'aaaHHHH', it'll sound louder and is v. irritating) they'll sweep up and down a range of frequencies instead of sitting on one & that's way, way harder to ignore, sleep through or have blocked by other stuff (music, clock/microwave/car alarms, etc) and also have thicker overtones that make it easier to tell the direction and distance, if its coming through multiple doors etc.
