Arsenal fans are going to be acting like they won the league now. Mostly because few are still alive to remember the last time that happened.

hey now, at least we've won the Premier League, even if it was in the pre-HD broadcast era. and like three Premier League font designs ago. and a stadium ago :v:

I've gained some trust in Arsenal's recruitment the past few years -- not so long ago 50 million for Ben White seemed mad, same with paying out for Aaron Ramsdale when we had a perfect good Leno at home, but those and other deals have been well worth it. I don't think we're going to talk about 105 Million Pound Declan Rice the same way Arsenal fans talk about 72 Million Pound Nicolas Pepe, put it that way.

Is the new Arsenal thing saying Antony is a bigger flop than Pepe despite Pepe playing nearly as many games for Arsenal as Antony has played in his entire career?

Antony had a pretty decent to good first season, Pepe was loving absymal lmao.

The answer is, mate, because I want to do you slowly. There has to be a bit of sport in this for all of us. In the psychological battle stakes, we are stripped down and ready to go. I want to see those ashen-faced performances; I want more of them. I want to be encouraged. I want to see you squirm.
Antony did that cool spin move that made a lot of Proper Football Men very mad and that makes him a success imo

Pepe is an empty stadium footballer, just like Jorginho. One outlier season in front of no crowds, dogshit before and after.

Pepe only looked so bad because at least half his transfer fee was that guy skimming the money off the top for personal gain. Without that corruption he's still a poor transfer but far less notable

Not for what Arsenal are supposedly going to use him for. He's absolutely not a Partey replacement, and if they plan on running a midfield of Ødegaard, Havertz and Rice that's going to be the most counterable midfield in PL history.

It is probably going to be more 3-2-4-1 - like what City was doing in the second half of the season. With Timber coming in, we are probably going to be fielding 4 CBs more often.

hey guys what is happening in this thread
Antony has slotted right into the Mason Greenwood role of running at defenders while doing countless stepovers before blasting the ball into the stratosphere. He’s taken to the domestic violence aspect like a fish to water as well. A perfect replacement

There were tons of people on Twitter who all wanted Pepe and said how good he was then totally forgot about that and pretended that they always knew he was trash. Like all social media opinions.

they also didn't notice that he played a completely different style in France to the Emery-era Arsenal team he joined.

still hilarious that Emery wanted a right-footed left winger with Premier League experience (Zaha) and instead got a left-footed right winger with none.

And the reason for not going with Zaha was the price, which didn't even turn out that much different in the end!
