I had a situation like that in college when the guy who lived across from me went away for the weekend and forgot to turn off his stereo, which was playing “Empire State of Mind” on loop to this day I have a Pavlovian reaction to the chorus

I lived next to a guy in college who would regularly turn on his stereo to max volume and then leave for class. I don't know if I ever heard his stereo when he was actually in his room? But if you came by and it was blaring techno from Ron's room, you knew for sure he wasn't there
