I don't feel like I browse Steam for stuff all that much so the "Steam is full of asset-flip trash and porno VNs" doesn't really bother me- I tend to know what I want, wishlist it, and then buy it when they very conveniently tell me it is on sale and then not play it as I throw it into the backlog pile

Weird I don't see any porn and very few anime games on my steam store and I've never messed with any settings unless I did that over a decade ago or something. For the most part the recs fit pretty well with the games I have already bought / play a lot of.

the only place where i see hentai games on steam is the new&trending section, which seems to be independent of my purchases. definitely keeping them on because some of the names are great anyways, did you know that both "my neighbor's lonely wife" and "my neighbor's lonely wife 2" just got released on steam?

A few years ago I started getting really weird eye issues where it was almost like my eyes were seeing tv static; really hard to describe and heart rhythm stuff would happen at the same time. I was pretty worried about it and went to some specialists, no one could tell me poo poo about it. The one thing I had changed in my diet was I started drinking aspartame sodas, so even though I felt like a crazy holistic medicine person, I removed it from my diet for days at a time and then went back on it for days at a time, over the course of a couple of months, and documented the entire thing. Long story short, the problem would surface and go away exactly in lockstep with drinking aspartame. Stopped drinking that poo poo and never had a problem with it since. Unfortunately you can't really explain this to people or they'll think you're an insane person who also doesn't want to take vaccines and thinks the world is flat or something. It was a crutch anyways, and switching from aspartame forced me to change my diet in better, healthier ways (long story short I switched to eating one major meal a day in the mid morning, and then just some fruit or something at dinner). That ended up working really good. Anyways the point is, if you're having weird medical poo poo and drink a lot of aspartame, just drop that garbage for a couple of weeks and see how you feel, that is all, PSA over
