the meme is to just take whatever random-rear end characters you can think of, they often have like two big name characters and then like, a couple things like a background muppet visible for 3 seconds in a single episode of zaboomafoo, sometimes an OC, and often a spongebob character but yes, basically

It's a kids cartoon with really good writing, the characters behave like real people and it models for kids a lot of really positive and practical ways of handling situations they're likely to run into IRL, like being upset with a friend who isn't playing by the rules, or feeling hurt because someone is playing too rough. It manages to be sweet and wholesome without becoming saccharine, which is a tough trick to pull off, and the animation is really nice, which is loving rare for shows aimed at really young kids.

I've seen parents complain Bluey presents "unrealistic expectations" for how much parents are supposed to spend time with their kids, so yeah it's good

I haven't seen a ton of recent children's programming and what I have seen has been mostly incidental (including Bluey) but I appreciate that the kid characters act like actual children and not just Adults but Small and I hadn't really realized how poorly represented kids are in kids' TV until I saw that show and was like oh right this feels a lot more familiar to me to how it was to be a kid
