I had a career match as a CAW against Jungle Boy. I beat the ever loving poo poo out of him and I think he did like 2 or 3 total moves to me the whole time. Then I hit my finisher, pinned him, then he did a small package reversal for a 3 count lmao

I'm in my late 40s and have rheumatoid arthritis that has damaged my hands and made them much less coordinated over the years. This is the first wrestling game I can play in nearly a decade. I play mashy, because I kind of have to, and you can manage ok. I'm playing single player on easy, but I can actually play the drat thing. It's so cool being able to perform reversals and counters for once. Not intended to discount anyone else's experiences, just sharing mine.

This thread taught me the trick to wear a shirt in the ring, but is there a reason my guy can’t wrestle in a singlet or any of the bodysuits aside from the dumb bear? I can get totally naked except for necessary trunks and they still can’t be worn with my attire.

That part's dumb, I don't know why they start you with accessories that lock off some attires (2k23 does the same thing but it's easier to remove stuff.)

The singlets and other gear in the bodysuit section lock out tons of the knee pad and footwear options so if you’re wearing any of that you can’t use those parts It’s pretty dumb

I had a game glitch where I was doing a lights out match and Cody put me through the barricade. My wrestler just disappeared into the crowd and I couldn’t get him back to ringside. I had to quit the match and take the L to fed boy.

Anyone who plays online and just endlessly spams either Omega's Powerbomb/V-trigger combo or Darby's code red needs to be crucified. Edit - this is true of any spammable signature, really. God help you if it's one with a quick animation. Anna Jay just hit me with 4 Jay kicks. I go out of my way to at least use a series of different signatures rather than just spamming the same one a few times to seal the deal because at least then it's like a proper wrestling match. Everyone's complaints about the game and challenges are totally valid, they just make me realize how much I've internalized and adapted to all the wrestling game BS from playing them 25 years or so. Ah, a tag match. I'll just obliterate the one guy and then make sure to attack his partner before I pin so he fucks up his save. Ah, a three way. I'll make sure to throw the legal guy out and then get a count out victory as beating all three is loving impossible. Ah, I have to beat this character to unlock them. Time to cheese a count out as I'm sure they have every kick-out buff possible. This game IS very authentic to AKI mode story bullshit and challenges

Trying to learn the Reversal system cause apparently I'm the only person in the world who can't mash right and I just cannot wrap my head around the timing. Do I reverse a grapple before they grab me or after they grab me but before the animation happens? Does a grapple that transitions into a strike need a grapple reversal or a strike reversal? Is it even possible to reverse on the ground or you are just hosed when you're downed? The only consistent way I've found to get reversals happening is just mashing the face buttons wildly any time the opponent does any offense and that is wrecking my fingers by the time I finish a few matches. Is this thread just me realizing I'm too bad at video games to play this?

I can also parry consistently in poo poo like God Of War and Bloodborne, so I'm reasonably sure it's not Bad At Gaming.

Is it even possible to reverse on the ground or you are just hosed when you're downed? you can reverse the initial grapple or the move input after the grapple. the timing on both is before the animation starts. you counter strikes with the strike counter, even after being grappled. it sounds like you have easy counters turned on. that actually felt more complicated to me? you can go into training, set the CPU to do stuff, and it'll tell you how your timing is off. you just don't know the timing yet

Sounds weird, but vibes I've found holding r1 most of the time and strategically adding L1 to be the easiest way for getting reversals. My timing is still off on reversing whips but I'm around 1/3 reversed. It also can help to watch the com attack for a bit, they tend to use the same amount of strikes before a grapple If you watch the arms for the grapple motion, you should be able to hold L1 and counter/dodge stuff. Not 100%, but I believe you have to use r1 for strike grapples

So I found a way to get Gold Attires on anyone (including people who dont' appear in the first RTE Casino Battle Royale), and confirmed this works: https://twitter.com/2Sweet4Lyfe/status/1675905883186901002 And to follow on I found a way to keep ONE of them. 1) Create a tag team (or modify an existing one) 2) Edit the entrance of the tag team 3) You'll have the gold attire now. 4) Start a RTE with a wrestler in their gold attire At the point, I turned off the game, and played through the entire RTE and I had the Riho gold attire.

I honestly fine its easiest to be all offensive ce. Hold a strike button to do a big hit then just start doing a bunch of grapples. Repeat
