I first saw it after facing someone who was using a gold attired CM Punk in online which I just assumed at the time was someone editing his gear in CAW or something, maybe that did something to my game and whatever it was just didn’t persist through reloads?

So I've basically just played Hangman between Road to Elite and gathering titles in Exhibition. Who are some (official) people who have a fun playstyle, in your experience? I'm thinking either Shida or Fenix would be different enough for a good contrast, compared to Hanger.

Orange Cassidy, especially if you activate his hands in pockets mode.

Penta is fun because you can  all day and then take your glove off to slap the poo poo out of everyone. Fenix has the better moveset but Penta is just so cool.

Hanger does fit my initial cool criteria of "can throw people out of the ring and hit cool planchas," though. I plastered a Danielson online with that the other day. I've also found that it's possible to release a pin late enough that the ref counts 3 but the match doesn't end. Once it happened when I was trying to see if I could cut the pin animation immediately after the win instead of just laying there for a minute; once was against that Danielson because I felt bad about the buckshot animation connecting even though he was seriously out of range and it looked stupid. i don't think this means anything

Uh holy poo poo that looks pretty good? What are the odds they put a ton of effort into making this mode that wasn't ready for launch which is why the rest of the game is so goddamn barebones. Gonna suck on PC where the concurrent player numbers are already lower than Rumbleverse likely ever was. Edit: Oh it's free ok

i get the feeling they were planning on using that mode to do the heavy lifting in advertising for the game but then it wasn't going to be done and they realized it would be terrible optics to push so hard for something that isn't even in the game at launch. if this is true it fits into why the hype window and release were pretty strange altogether compared to most games.

I can't see them doing annual storyline expansions (though that would be really fun for a wrestling game) but extra characters will probably be the main appeal of DLC. I just hope an eventual CAW overhaul will be free.

Epic has a framework to allow for cross-platform play so I'm guessing the battle royale will hook into that since you have to link your account for Fight Forever anyway (which I thought was odd, but now makes sense)

2 AEW Questions: I can't figure out light vs heavy grapple. How do I do light vs. heavy? I only seem to always hit my light grapples with the B button even if I hold it. How do I get my match rating up? What increases a matches stars/ratings? ty!!

I guess it’s a formula based on the number of moves you do in total and maybe the variety, how much hidden health you have left over and the time of the match (although it’s unclear whether it needs to be long or short or in the middle). I did an easy mode casino battle royale just for shits and giggles and won with like 16 eliminations, I got 6 stars and an A+ in everything
