The Jeju Uprising is like, the most horrific thing in any of the seasons so far in my opinion. An utter genocide and like 99% of Americans don't know about it

Euphoriaphone posted:just finished blowback season 3. overall i don't think it was nearly as engaging as the first 2 seasons, mainly because the korean war was largely a complete success for the US. the only real blowback seemed to be macarthur torpedoing his career and eventually his image. i was hoping the season would be easy to share like the first 2 seasons were to show someone how malicious the US is, but i think if someone not already sympathetic to that reality listened to s3, they'd just walk away with the impression that war sucks and maybe KIS was cool when he was young, but that both sides were bad and NK is still "evil" The war showed that Soviet and Chinese aid could stalemate WW2 footing America. It created a nuclear armed "rogue state" that is important in foreign policy to this day. I don't think S1 set out to make Saddam a hero for example.

FOR THE LOVE OF gently caress DO NOT LISTEN PAST 1:01:15 OF POD ABOUT LIST the boys describe osha stuff and get to what I imagine is the coolest possible result of getting the drawstring of your shorts caught in the moving parts of a stand mixer. Don't read this penis and testes degloved, testes castrated, worker recovers testes from the floor, puts them in a bag w ice, but they couldn't be saved and then I stopped to post this majour333 has issued a correction as of 04:50 on Jul 6, 2023 |

I know it's lovely, but it hits hardest for me because they were literally just trying to do their own thing. It's also a good intro to our reasoning for like, 90% of what we did in South America Squashy has issued a correction as of 06:32 on Jul 6, 2023 |
